Inside Steph Curry’s Business Empire: Thirty Ink Hits $174 Million Revenue

Jun 5, 2025

NBA legend Stephen Curry isn’t just winning on the court — he’s building a powerful business empire. His company, Thirty Ink, earned $173.5 million in revenue in 2024, and every part of the business is profitable, according to the company.

📌 What Is Thirty Ink?

Thirty Ink is a brand group led by Curry that owns and manages several successful businesses. These include:

  • Unanimous Media – A creative content studio
  • Gentleman’s Cut Bourbon – A premium whiskey brand
  • Underrated Golf and Basketball – Youth-focused sports programs

Curry serves as the CEO of Thirty Ink, showing he’s just as focused off the court as he is during a game.

💼 Under Armour Partnership: A Major Revenue Driver

A major chunk of the company’s revenue comes from its partnership with Under Armour, where Curry is the president of the Curry Brand. This brand sells basketball and golf shoes, clothes, and gear.

In 2023, Curry received 8.8 million shares of Under Armour, valued at $75 million, as part of the deal. That move not only strengthened his business profile but also made him one of the most powerful athlete-entrepreneurs today.

💰 Strong Profits With Low Operating Costs

Thirty Ink reported $144 million in EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) last year.

What’s impressive? The company keeps costs low because it relies heavily on Curry’s image and influence to drive brand value — not expensive overheads.

According to Suresh Singh, the company’s chairman, all of Curry’s businesses are profitable because they are mission-driven and built to last — not just trend-based celebrity ventures.

🎬 Unanimous Media: Telling Diverse Stories

Curry’s media company, Unanimous Media, is focused on creating uplifting stories around family, faith, and sports.

Co-founded with Erick Peyton, the company supports diverse creators and writers. It currently has around 40 projects in the works, with a clear vision to “inspire through media.”

Their first feature film, titled “GOAT”, is set to release next year. It’s an animated story about a goat who plays basketball — but in the movie, they call it “roar ball.”

Unanimous has been profitable every year since launching in 2018 and has an ongoing deal with NBCUniversal, the parent company of Peacock.

🥃 Gentleman’s Cut: Premium Bourbon with Purpose

Curry’s bourbon brand, Gentleman’s Cut, is another success under Thirty Ink. Created in collaboration with Napa Valley winemaker John Schwartz, the brand had a potential deal last year that would have valued it between $120 million and $200 million.

However, the deal fell through due to rising concerns around DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) policies — a growing political issue in the U.S.

Still, Curry remains committed to DEI and continues to push representation through all his business efforts.

🌍 Curry’s DEI Commitment: Real Action, Not Just Words

Curry uses his platform to promote equal opportunity. From hiring diverse writers at Unanimous Media to creating access for Black and brown youth through Underrated Golf, Curry is making sure his work reflects his values.

He believes in “true equity”, saying:

“I want to walk the walk and live it. Hopefully that’s an example for how our country should be.”

📈 Looking Ahead

Stephen Curry’s journey with Thirty Ink shows how a superstar athlete can transition into a purpose-driven, profitable business leader. From media to sportswear to bourbon, his company is built to grow — with a clear mission and strong numbers to back it.
