Gold prices experienced a significant increase of Rs3,600 per tola on Tuesday in the local market, mirroring a rise in international gold rates.
The price of gold now stands at Rs273,500 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold rose by Rs3,086, reaching Rs234,482.
In the international market, gold prices surged by $36, reaching $2,623 per ounce.
Meanwhile, silver rates remained stable, with no change recorded. The price of silver per tola held steady at Rs3,250, and 10-gram silver remained at Rs2,786.
The local market gold prices include a $20 premium compared to international rates, reflecting adjustments for domestic market dynamics.
This latest hike underscores gold’s growing appeal as a safe-haven investment amidst market fluctuations.
