Pakistan’s Foreign Exchange Reserves Climb to $9.4 Billion

On September 5, 2024, the State Bank of Pakistan reported that its foreign exchange reserves totaled approximately $9.4 billion as of August 30. This marks an increase of $33 million from the previous week.

The bank also noted that net foreign reserves held by commercial banks amounted to around $5.3 billion. In total, Pakistan’s liquid foreign reserves, which include those held by both the central bank and commercial banks, stand at about $14.7 billion.
